Musician Murray Foster is a member of Moxy Fruvous, which plays Lee's Palace(529 Bloor St. W.) Friday and Saturday, with a benefit show Sunday for the Ontario Coalition for Abortion Clinics(870-8000): "Lately I've been listening a lot to Lauryn Hill's CD The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. It's brilliantly written, composed and arranged, and it's been the first thing I put on in the morning for the last three weeks solid. We're rehearsing today and fine-tuning before we go into the studio to record on March 1. A new restaurant I've been meaning to check out is Gold Fish (372 Bloor St. W). I've heard the food is intensely flavored, which I love, and if it's as delicious as the decor is pretentious, it will be akin to a New York experience. I'll see Tory Cassis, who just started playing swing at Lava(507 College St.) Monday nights. And I'm reading The Uses of Enchantment by Bruno Bettelheim. It's about how children get meaning out of fairy tales, and it discusses the way they teach children about life in a comfortable place of suspended belief".
